The fourth annual Andover Days 5k took Friday, May 30 under near perfect running conditions. 23 year-old Philip Shaw of North Andover won the men's race with a time of 15:39. The second and third spots were captured by a couple of Master's runners, Dan Verrington (16:09) and Stephen Sergent (16:39).Susan Kiley was the first woman (20:57) followed by a pair of 16 year-olds with bright futures: Natalie Sousa (22:15) of Andover and Camilla Ekokobe (22:24).
The race benefits the Andover Youth Center. It is quickly becoming a local favorite and is run by the dynamic duo of Jim Kapelson (Strider) and Mike Arpin (TriFury).
